The right age is not one number.

Breed, size and sex all shift the ideal timing. We will give you a recommendation for your pet rather than a rule of thumb.

Cats — from around four to six months
Small breed dogs — from around six months
Large breed dogs — often later, once growth has finished
Discuss earlier if there are behavioural or health reasons

You will leave with written instructions, pain relief, and a recheck booked. Quiet, lead-only and no swimming — which on this coast takes discipline.
